The Fall Semester of my Senior year we were tasked with designing a community outreach project. Kaleida Health is the largest healthcare providers in Western New York, serving the area’s eight counties with state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive healthcare services. Its expert, compassionate healthcare professionals are committed to providing the best possible outcomes and experience for patients and visitors. More than one million sick or injured patients choose a Kaleida Health facility annually.

The purpose of this project was to promote a series of virtual racing challenges that generates interest in being healthy in a fun way while raising money for local children's charities.

A series of five races were designed with deliverables including a race medal and a race bib designed specific to each charity. The series of race medals will be promoted on the Kaleida Health webpage as part of a moving web banner. The medals rotate when the arrow is clicked on. Each medal has a small description of each local charity that the race supports. The colors used in the banner are associated with the blues in the Kaleida logo. The button where they can participate in the race states “Count Me In” and is in the Kaleida Blue.

Once a race (or multiple races) have been purchased they will be mailed out in a mailer box. The phrase “Your adventure has arrived” is there to get the client excited about opening the package. The package is clean and simple with the identifying Kaleida logo in the corner. This specific version of the logo (within a ribbon icon) unifies the entire packaging of the product. It is on the medal, the bib, and the mailer box making it one cohesive piece.
